Cathy Palczewski

Cathy grew up on a farm/ranch in Southwest ND where she learned the values of working hard, resilience, playing hard and survival.  She attended college at North Dakota State University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation with minors in Health Education and Counseling.  Cathy has spent her career working with the physically and mentally challenged, youth in 4-H, addicted adults and youth, the mentally ill, youth in the juvenile justice system, Soldiers and those battling cancer. Her strengths include program development, team building, crisis management, event planning and meeting people where they are.  She believes educating, mentoring and helping others are why she was put on this earth.  Cathy is currently a Case Manager in the Opioid Treatment Program and the Project Manager for an overdose grant at Heartview Foundation.  In her current job she provides education, resources and support for those suffering from addiction.

The ND LGBTQIA2S+ Summit is an organization that is fiscally sponsored by the North Dakota Human Rights Coalition (NDHRC). The NDHRC is a statewide, membership-based organization established to increase the visibility of human rights needs and violations and to change laws and attitudes that stand as barriers to residents within North Dakota who do not currently enjoy their full rights. North Dakota Human Rights Coalition is a registered 501(c)(3) organization.
