Sadie Sheppard

Sadie Sheppard, B.A., graduated from Chadron State College with a Bachelor of Arts in Family Consumer Science with a concentration in Public Health and Human Services. She is an enrolled member of the Sokaogon Chippewa Community and a descendant of White Earth Nation and Forest County Potawatomi Community. Sadie is the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) and N8V Youth Circle Coordinator at Youthworks, where they began working in 2021. Sadie has worked with numerous survivors of human trafficking. Sadie’s passion for advocacy lies within marginalized communities that are often underserved. They are trained in trauma-informed practice, positive youth development, and Safe Zone training.

The ND LGBTQIA2S+ Summit is an organization that is fiscally sponsored by the North Dakota Human Rights Coalition (NDHRC). The NDHRC is a statewide, membership-based organization established to increase the visibility of human rights needs and violations and to change laws and attitudes that stand as barriers to residents within North Dakota who do not currently enjoy their full rights. North Dakota Human Rights Coalition is a registered 501(c)(3) organization.
