CJ Vondal

Charles "CJ" Vondal is a University of North Dakota senior majoring in Social Work, and working towards a nonprofit administration minor. Vondal is the current treasurer and co-founder of Grand Forks OUT & Proud, an LGBTQ+ nonprofit started in Grand Forks. He is also on the board of volunteers for the Grand Forks Pride Committee.

Vondal is the admin for Queer as Forks which is the LGBTQIA+ community of Grand Forks and surrounding areas on Facebook.


He works with the NDHRC on Project Q.U.E.E.R. (Questioning, Understanding, and Educating on Essential Resources). Once a month you can catch him performing as Francis Pants with B.J. Armani’s Cabaret in Grand Forks, along with his small business called Pride by Francis Pants.

The ND LGBTQIA2S+ Summit is an organization that is fiscally sponsored by the North Dakota Human Rights Coalition (NDHRC). The NDHRC is a statewide, membership-based organization established to increase the visibility of human rights needs and violations and to change laws and attitudes that stand as barriers to residents within North Dakota who do not currently enjoy their full rights. North Dakota Human Rights Coalition is a registered 501(c)(3) organization.
